Visiting Hours / Policy

Visitors play an important part in helping patients feel better and get well. At UHC our general visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, special visiting policies and more limited visiting hours exist for areas such as the critical care unit (CCU) and Untied Transitional Care Center (UTCC) due to the nature of the patient’s medical condition. Obstetrics observes "Quiet Time" from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please speak with a nurse regarding visiting hours in special care areas.

We ask that visitors:

be limited to groups of two people
be free from illness such as colds/flu
observe our no-smoking policy
observe UHC’s cell phone policy

We also ask that you speak with a nurse before bringing a child to visit as there may be concerns about communicable disease or patient confidentiality. A hospital environment has many potential hazards for children including sharp items, germs and high powered medical equipment. All children should be supervised by an adult while visiting.
